Yesterday I took the day off work to pack, run errands, and just decompress. Once I picked up my shirt I had made- everything finally started sinking in
This will go fabulous with my Wonder Woman stars skirt, but unfortunately mom was hemming it for me since it was long and I won't see the whole outfit together till we're actually in Hawaii tonight!
I went on a quick 5 miler after picking up the shirt and would you believe I actually starting crying during the run just thinking about what race day is going to feel like? I have so many emotions going on, but the biggest is just being so overjoyed that a lofty goal I set a little over 3 years ago is finally being met! I'm still astonished at how much this experience has enriched my life- new friends, travel, sense of purpose, and the biggest reward- finding my niche and gaining confidence in who I am and what I aspire to be.
Next time you hear from me ill be in tropical paradise - if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook- I apologize in advance for my obnoxious photos... Now time to MOVE THAT PLANE (said with inflection of HGTVs "move that bus!")
Hope ya'll have a fabulous day!!
Go out with a bang chickie!!! I can't wait to hear all about it!!! It's amazing what you can do when you set your mind to it!!! Have a blast in Hawaii!! You ROCK!!!
ReplyDeleteI FORGOT about the Wonder Woman skirt! Oh yeah, 50 is going to be amazing. Give the family big hugs from me and enjoy every minute. And, if you can get big LJ to take you out to a fancy shmancy dinner, hit up the Lahaina Grill.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you!!! Enjoy every single mile of Hawaiian paradise!!! :) #RaceAll50 Girlfriend! You are my role model!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Lisa, that's awesome! Super impressive to see someone chase down such an ambitious goal, I've enjoyed reading about your adventures!!
ReplyDeleteWow this is so exciting Lisa! I can't wait to hear all about your big 5-0! Enjoy and soak up the sun:)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting to state #50! I've been following along since I decided a few years to complete a 1/2 in each state as well - your race reports have been a big help in picking out races. (Sadly, it will take me much, much longer than 3 years to complete this goal. State #7 - TX - is coming up in a month.) Anywho - good luck from a totally random stranger that has found your blog to be really inspiring!
ReplyDeleteOMG, sooo exciting!!! Can't wait to hear all about it :)
ReplyDeleteI don't remember how I stumbled upon your blog, but I've enjoyed reading your posts and in awe of you being able to accomplish this goal. not many people can say they've been to all 50 states, let alone done a race in each one.
